We met once upon a time in high school when you came to visit her. I would definitely encourage you to get "Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way" By Susan McCucheon? That's not spelled right or work with the hypnobirthing or even hypnobabies info that's out there. Anyhoo, it has lots of scripts and exercises for you and your husband to do TOGETHER. If you make it about you two it will be especially empowering for both parties :-) I've had a very similar experience as you. Medicated birth, natural in the hospital and a homebirth. I'm pregnant with #4 and hoping to another homebirth. I just found a midwife named Laura I'm going to meet next week who sounds amazing! Also, have you looked into waterbirth? I don't EVER want to go back now. It was so wonderful in the water and I didn't tear at ALL!!! Rob delivered our little girl and though he was honestly scrared to death, it was the most amazing experience of his life. E-mail me if ya like. ShannonLovesRob@gmail.com Also, you could check out www.birthnetwork.org and see if there's a chapter in your area. Some groups like ours have monthly meetings and you may be able to meet other moms that have done homebirth too or at least feel the same way about not interfering with a natural process. It's a sacred connection I think. It's nice to have people who understand why you want a homebirth instead of looking at you cross eyed! Good luck!!!

Shannon Lorraine

I am so intrigued by the idea of a home birth.
